LOVER-FIGHTER PARADOX

Lovers love and fighters fight. Right? How could there possibly be a correlation between lovers and fighters, forgiving the occasional lover's spat? It may seem strange but there is a distinct correlation between being a lover and being a fighter. In fact, it may even seem paradoxical, but when understood the paradox is perfectly clear. Take a look at these quotes from Sun Tzu, the ancient Chinese warlord and author of The Art of War (Samuel B. Griffith, Oxford University Press, London) When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself, your chances of winning or losing are equal. If ignorant both of your enemy and of yourself, you are certain in every battle to be in peril. As a warlord and master general, Sun Tzu's statement is absolutely correct. To be victorious, which is the goal of war, one must know himself and his adversary. Ignorance of only one, the other or both, will be perilous, to say the least. Knowing the self and the other. This is the key to all relationships, whether those relationships are martial or marital. Moving from the martial battlefield, isn't it also true that in the lover's domain it is just as important to know oneself and one's spouse, lover, partner? Yet, how often are partners only interested in themselves in a relationship? It's more common than one may think. In fact, throughout nearly forty years of studying people and their relationships and marriages, The King's Numerology has noticed that most people are only interested in themselves and have no idea what makes their partner tick or click.
