What Do You See?

We do not see things they way they are; We see things the way our numbers are. ~ Richard Andrew King Have you ever been in a discussion with someone and you told him (or were silently thinking), "You just don't get it." And then the other person retorts (or also is silently thinking), "No. You don't get it." Correctness aside, both of you would be right. "How can that be?" you ask. The factual answer is very simple: We don't see things the way they are; we see things the way our numbers are. Human beings are like snowflakes – generally alike but individually different. But unlike snowflakes, we are living beings. Each of us is comprised of the same biology but different as to the amalgam of energies that comprise us individually. Those individual differences are determined by our full birth name and birth date. It is these varying energies that cause us to perceive the world differently, sometimes totally opposite from another or others. For example, let's say the birth name of two people each reflects a 2 Expression. One would think they would be alike, and they would to the extent of the simple attributes of the 2. These would focus on energies associated with others, relationship, female/yin attributes, emotions, support, partnership, competition, division, war/peace (opposites sides of the same numerological coin). However, let's also say that the Specific Expression of one of these 2 Expression individuals was a 191 (1 + 9 + 1 = 11: 1 + 1 = 2) and the other was a 272 (2 + 7 + 2 = 11: 1 + 1 = 2). Thus, from a simple, surface perspective both are a 2. However, their subsurface structures of 191 and 272 tell a very different story. The 191 pattern exudes energies of the self, ego, action, independence, identity, leadership, will power, courage, taking charge, being solo (1). The 9, being the Grand Elemental and Grand Amplifier, reflects all things universal, the public, the masses, expansion and rulership. Symbols for the 9 include the crown, scepter, throne and microphone. Thus, this 191 pattern is extremely dominant, independent, self-oriented and potentially arrogant. It is all about the self and its power. The 272 substructure of the number 2 reflects corroborative energies of its crown – the single 2. Relationship, others, yin energy oozes from its pores. The 7 energy is the most internal, reflective, analytical, recessive, solitary and withdrawing energy there is. Other than the 11 transition root, there is no energy of self and rulership as in the 191 pattern. The 2 and 7 together create an energy field that is more passive (2) than active (1); more thoughtful and internal (7) than externally dominant (9). Therefore, a person with this type of 2 would be more shy, refined, passive, and partnership oriented than the 191 which, although manifesting a 2 crown, is hardly a team player – on its surface perhaps but not underneath its surface. Given this simple analogy, the 191 and 272 individuals would see things very differently, almost opposite in their views. The 191 is extremely self-oriented; the 272 very others-oriented. The 191 would lead; the 272 would support and follow. The 191 is filled with fire, logic, independence and direct action; the 272 is filled with water, emotion, dependence and indirect action. Yet, they're both 2s in their Simple state. This 191 versus 272 combination, both simple 2s in reduction, is the most simple of illustrations of how each of us sees things differently. What if the Expression numbers of other individuals housed direct opposites – 1 vs. 2; 4 vs. 5 or 7 vs 8. They would see life totally and completely differently. It gets more intricate when we consider the seven components of the Basic Matrix: Lifepath, Expression, PE, Soul, Material Soul, Nature and Material Nature. And we can't forget voids and the part they play in the grand scheme of things. There's much more we could discuss, but you get the picture. Each of us is very different from each other in the composition of our energetic beings. Given all of our differences, it's amazing people can agree on anything at all. Why? Once again, it's because We don't see things the way they are; we see things the way our numbers are. If we keep this basic concept in mind when engaging with other people, we should be able to manage our relationships more efficiently.
